Sideswipe, the award- winning martial arts performance team who gained national steam after becoming one of the top 8 performers in America’s Got Talent, will be bringing their unique and exhilarating show to the Kirk Douglas Theater from August 7-8, 2009.
Sideswipe brings a wild new definition to martial-arts. Featuring a mixture of extreme karate, choreographed moves, and heart-pumping music, Sideswipe is a thrilling show for the entire family. The event will feature impressive action choreography based on classic scenes from movies like Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Karate Kid.
This month’s performance is an expansion on their renowned routine by offering more moves, more music, and a cast of high profile martial artists. The event is headlined by Matt Mullins, a veteran of martial-arts for over 10 years who is currently star of the hit kid’s action show, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight which can be seen every Saturday on The CW4 Kids. He will be joined by 12 year old Leo Howard and 15 year old Brandon Soo Hoo, two young martial artists who are wowing the world with their unparalleled skills. Leo will star in the upcoming GI Joe movie, while Brandon can be recognized from his hilarious role in the hit comedy, Tropic Thunder. Performing alongside this exciting trio will be a team of martial artists who are back from a highly successful tour with Britney Spears.
