Shahrnaz Monfared was born in Tehran, Iran. She studied painting in art university and received her degree in fine art. She had several personal and group exhibitions in Tehran and became a member of the society of Iranian painters. In 2010 she moved to South Florida. While living in the United States, she continued her artistic journey by participating in several exhibitions in museums and art galleries, becoming a signature member of the Boca Raton Artist Guild.
Shahrnaz creates abstract paintings with unique combinations of lines, forms and textures and space of her abstract works create a deep connection with the artistic language and her viewers. Her preferred medium is acrylic and mixed media on canvas. One of her paintings is kept in the permanent collection of the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
