GOOD NEWS! We have received an email from Nelson Ghrenassia, producer of the Short Film, French, winner of  HP Bridging The Borders Award, indicating that it goes for Oscar consideration:

” I’m Nelson, happy producer of the short film « French » by Josza Anjembe, 2016 winner of the wonderful Bridging the Borders Award 2016 in Palm Springs.
Since Palm Springs, where the film has been shown as an International Premiere, this short has been selected in more than 100 festivals, and been awarded by 30 awards…
In may 2017, we had the chance to win the Grand Jury Award at the prestigious New-York International Children Film festival, award given by Sofia Coppola and Gus Van Sant, among others.
This award allows the film to be part of the Oscars short film long list.
Of course, we would be thrilled to go further, and be part of the short-list of the 10 international short films in december-january!

Again, I wanted to thank you for this award, it was the first for the film, and means a lot.

Best regards,
Nelson GHRENASSIA
