“Tribeca Talks” will be one of the major highlights at the upcoming 2007 Tribeca Film Festival in NYC. Playing host to film celebrities and entertainment professionals such as Eva Mendes, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tiki Barber, and Rosario Dawson, this series of panel discussions will delve deeply into film trends in the industry. In addition, insight and experience will bring to the forefront aspects of filmmaking which are unique and sure to spark riveting talks.

Some topics will include: Women in front and behind the camera, filmmakers who battle the forces of nature and live to tell about it, the increasing violence on the silver screen, real spymasters and Hollywood’s draw to cloak and dagger projects. The panel series is set
to begin on Thursday, April 26 and run through Saturday, May 5.

Whoopi Goldberg will host the 3rd Annual Youth Media Student Screening also at The Tribeca Film Festival. The Tribeca Film Fellows is programs where talented young aspiring filmmakers are guided with the logistical know how and basics to create their own work. “Our City, My
Story”, will highlight the New York City youth of 15-19 years of age and the reflections of their lives on film at a special screening to kick off the event.

As a most advantageous venue for selected youth, the program with the summation of its different parts encompasses over 1,000 participants. It undoubtedly offers a rich creative outlet for visual expression and the chance to establish noteworthy connections within the industry.
