With over 30 years of festival experience between them — this is James’ 12th year as a journalist at the Berlinale, and the 12th as well for Tanja as an attendee — the two will cover the breaking news, views and films of one of the world’s best-programmed and provocative festivals. A particular focus of their coverage will be the films and personalities reflecting the politics of culture, and culture of politics, of a world at the doorstep of huge geopolitical change and the new era of Obama.
Not that they’ll ignore the fun stuff, either. Watch here for James and Tanja’s reports on the parties, gossip and people behind Berlinale’s legendary nightspots and ever-changing cinema scene — change that even the Berlin’s most jaded festival goers can believe in.
