14th Edition of Polish Film Festival, Los Angeles opens tonight,  October 8 and continues until October 17. The opening night gala is by invitation and will be held at Egyptian Theater. From 6 to 8 there is a reception and at 8 PM award ceremony starts and follows by screening of MY FATHER’S BIKE (Moj rower) by Piotr Trzaskalski.

Cinema Without Borders Bridging the Borders Award will go to the best short film at the Polish Film Festival, Los Angeles.

The nominees for the award are: THE 128th RAT (128. Szczur) by Jakub Paczek, THE BIG LEAP (Wielki skok) by Kristoffer Rus, THE EASTER CRUMBLE (Mazurek) by Julia Kolberger, A MEMORY OF LAST SUMMER by Ivo Krankowski, THE MOTHER (Matka) by Lukasz Ostalski, STORM (Sztorm) by Piotr Brozek, THEM by Marta Grabicka, TWIST & BLOOD by Jakub Czekaj  and VOLCANO Wulkan) by Michal Wawrzecki.
Cinema Without Borders’ jury members are:  Rachel O’Meara, Gabriel Ryder, James Ulmer and Bijan Tehrani.
