Sling TV will be rolling out a cloud base DVR beta program.
Available starting in December, the cloud DVR beta program will roll out first on Roku streaming players and Roku TVs. Customers who subscribe to Sling Orange and/or Sling Blue using Roku devices may request an invitation for the beta program by visiting www.sling.com/dvr. At launch, customers selected for the beta program will receive 100 hours of cloud DVR storage at no charge.
What will the cloud DVR beta program include?
Here are some of the benefits you’ll see from our cloud DVR:
• Entertainment on your time – Record movies, episodes, full series and more and watch the TV you want whenever is best for you. You’ll also be able to pause, rewind or fast-forward your recorded content. (DVR functionality may not be available on all channels.)
• Conflict-free recording – Users may record multiple programs simultaneously, with no recording conflicts.
• Easy access – Your DVR content will be integrated directly into your “My TV” screen, so you can get to your recordings easily and quickly.
• Simple space management – Just sit back and relax! SLING TV automatically manages your DVR space to makes room for new recordings by deleting the oldest ‘watched’ recording when capacity is full, so you don’t have to!
Sling TV is also working on more DVR features, like the ability to upgrade your cloud DVR storage, so you have plenty of space for your favorite shows.
