Walking through the exhibition halls of SIGGRAPH 2026 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, one quickly realizes that the computer graphics industry has entered a new era. Artificial intelligence is no longer presented as a futuristic promise—it has become an integral part of virtually every creative workflow, from concept design and animation to visual effects, simulation, scientific visualization, and filmmaking. This year’s conference brings together researchers, artists, engineers, and technology companies from around the world to explore the next generation of digital storytelling and interactive experiences. One of the highlights of my visit today was the HP booth, where I had the opportunity to receive a personal demonstration of HP’s latest professional workstations. The presentation reflected a clear understanding of where the creative industries are heading.
Alanna Franklin, HP Workstation Sales Specialist, was kind enough to personally introduce me to HP’s newest generation of professional workstations and explain many of their latest capabilities. Based on requests we have received from our readers for more in-depth hardware coverage, we also discussed the possibility of HP providing Cinema Without Borders with loaner workstation systems for hands-on evaluation. The new HP systems are no longer designed simply to render images faster. They are being built as complete AI-powered production environments capable of handling enormous datasets, sophisticated 3D scenes, advanced simulations, and real-time rendering while simultaneously supporting generative AI applications.
