Ardeshir Farah

Ardeshir Farah is a part of the guitar duo Strunz & Farah. Performing together since 1979, Grammy nominees Strunz & Farah are the innovators of an entirely new expression for the acoustic guitar. Ardeshir Farah has performed in over 1000 concerts across the USA, South and Central America, Europe, and Asia. Since 1980, with Jorge Strunz, and has produced twenty-one albums as Strunz & Farah. The duo met in Los Angeles in 1979 and was nominated for a Grammy award for Best World Music Album of the Year in 1992, alongside The Gipsy Kings, Sérgio Mendes, and two other groups. Ardeshir, born in Iran, is known for his highly virtuosic, rhythmic, and improvisation-rich guitar-playing style, inspiring fans and guitarists worldwide. Strunz & Farah have also shared the stage with renowned Jazz, pop, and rock artists such as Jackson Browne, Miles Davis, George Benson, Kenny Loggins, and many others. Notably, Al Di Meola, the famous American Jazz-fusion guitarist, contributed percussion to one of Strunz & Farah’s pieces on their latest album, released on March 3, 2023. Twilight at the Zuq, an Ardeshir Farah Composition, was released in 1991, this was the first song from Strunz & Farah that the commercial Jazz radio station in Los Angeles, The WAVE, put on heavy rotation. I (Ardeshir Farah) and the guitar group Incendio, which I’m currently playing live shows with, perform this version of the song.
